Gold and enamel Royal Air Force (Argentine British) brooch
This brooch is from the Royal Air Force (Argentine British) Squadron 164, formed on the 6th April 1942 at Peterhead as a Spitfire squadron. The title ‘Argentine British’ meant that it was a donation squadron funded by the British community from Argentina. Crafted in 9ct with enamelled insignia, the brooch has a C clasp with a hinged safety catch and measures approximately 48.5mm x 23mm.
